You've built your L&D expertise. But becoming a stronger partner to the business requires something more: understanding how the business works, diagnosing before prescribing, making sound recommendations, and influencing the people you support.
L&D Means Business is a 12-month cohort experience designed to build the business acumen, strategic judgment, and influence of experienced L&D professionals.
12 MONTHS | COHORT-BASED | 6 GROUP COACHING SESSIONS
You can be an excellent facilitator, instructional designer, learning consultant, or program manager and still struggle to connect your work to the priorities of the business.
The shift happens when you stop starting with “What should we build?” and start asking:
L&D Means Business is built around the lessons, decisions, mistakes, and realities of doing this work inside the business, not beside it.

Learn how your organization creates value, read business priorities and signals, and connect them to workforce and capability needs.

Move beyond the stated request to investigate performance needs, uncover assumptions, and frame the problem worth solving.

Turn what you've learned into thoughtful options and recommendations, make the business case, and push back when needed.

Communicate recommendations with credibility, connect evidence to outcomes, and strengthen your influence with the leaders you support.
Each month, you'll focus on one strategic capability, learn a practical approach, and apply it to your actual work.
Every other month, you'll come together with the cohort for a live Strategic Practice Lab led by Dr. Tekeisha Zimmerman. Bring the stakeholder challenge, recommendation, business problem, or decision you're working through. We'll use those real situations to strengthen your thinking and judgment together.
